Guadalajara

Guadalajara is the Capital of Jalisco State and the second most important city of Mexico. Named in different ways like “The city of the Roses”, " The city of the Fountains" and “The Real City” but the most popular for everybody is “The Tapatía Pearl”;  it is an incredibly diverse and stately city with amazing qualities, both modern and historic, that embrace all who visit. One says that Guadalajara was born Great to be Great, founded in 1542 it took its name from the native city of its conqueror Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán. The Guadalajara word comes from the Arab word Wadal-hid-rockrose that means river that runs between stones. From its foundation it showed its commercial vocation and of services which has characterized it to the present time, being one of the urban centers of greater growth in the country, thanks to the fact that it has generated a variety of products and services that have placed it like one of the most reliable cities to invest in Mexico

As the second largest city the country and boasting a population of over 5.5 millions, you are constantly reminded that Guadalajara is a metropolis, one of the major Mexican business centers.  There are many places in Guadalajara where you will feel like you have stepped back in time to a different era. Guadalajara is a city of monuments, parks and flowers, fountains and tree lined avenues. A city alive with subtle attractions that can keep the first time visitor entertained for weeks. 

Guadalajara whose name only evokes a city full of culture, folklore and traditions; capital city where born the main Mexican symbols like “Mariachi, Charreria and Tequila”, which are presented around the world like fundamental values of our Mexican identity, bloomed. Guadalajara stands out for its diverse and rich cuisine and the most importantly Guadalajara’s hospitality and friendliness.

City with scent of wet earth, recognized by its places, its sources, its monuments, its spectacular murals, with its Cathedral, Quarry buildings sea bream, all of them are important witnesses of the history of the city, like the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Regional Museum, the Degollado Theater and the Cultural Institute Cabañas which houses murals of native artist, Jose Clemente Orozco, that were declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1997.
